Congratulations! It's been 3 years for me but that's only because I gave a "nice guy" a shot. I had been celibate 12 years before him and broke my celibacy for him. Not worth it. My main reason is that I refuse to come between a father and his children, but I ALSO refuse to be as far down the priority list as I would have to be in order to make space for that man to be a proper father to his children. More than anything, I refuse to be tied to a geographical area in order to accommodate a man's custody arrangements. I'm not going to take a man away from being near his kids, but I'm not limiting my range of options in life for a man either. There's no way I'm being stuck living in the same place and only ever going on vacations with my man for tiny periods of time so that he can be there when it's his turn to have his kids. Nope. Single dads should focus on being dads and think about women when their kids are grown, unless they can find a woman who won't be toxic for his children or jealous of them and who is willing to put up with all the sacrifice.
